The Ultimate Civil Rights Struggle: The control of the Money Supply

The yellow brick road in The Wonderful Wizard OZ symbolizes US history for control, of the money supply. This podcast interviews the documentary film maker, Bill Still about his new film that documents this hidden message. Bill Still is the man behind the classic 'the money masters'.

It is commonly known in economics academia that The Wonderful Wizard of Oz written by L. Frank Baum in 1900 is loaded with powerful symbols of monetary reform which were the core of the Populist movement and the 1896 and 1900 presidential bids of Populist Democrat William Jennings Bryan.

The yellow brick road (gold standard), the Scarecrow (farmers), the Tin Man (industrial workers), the Wicked Witch of the West (Cleveland banker J.D. Rockefeller) and the Wicked Witch of the East (NY banker J.P.Morgan/ Rothschild interests), the Emerald City of Oz (greenback money), the illusory power of the Wizard in the capitol city (who monopolized power through deceit), even Dorothy’s silver slippers (changed to ruby slippers for the colour movie version -symbols of Baum’s and Bryan’s belief that adding silver coin to gold coin, would provide much needed money to a depression-strapped, 1890s America). Oz is a virtual forest of monetary reform symbolism, done by someone extremely well versed in the Populist monetary reform goals of the period (Baum was a newspaperman and author) – goals which have never changed - they are still valid today, they are needed now more than then!

The Scam: Fractional Reserve Banking run by PRIVATE corporations. Which are not transparent and accountable. FED, Bank of England & IMF.

National Debt: The problem is that the interest paid on the debt is killing us, worse still we can and have in the past created interest free money for the benefit of all.

Here's how it works: Politicians need money, politicians sell bonds/debt, Bank buys bonds/debt

Bankers loan £100 worth of debt/money (Banks make 6% interest)

The banks then loan out 10 times that amount, it can loan out £1000 it doesn't have and charge additional interest. They are not just making 6% interest, they receive £6 on the original loan, then £1000 (10x100) from the money they created from nothing and £60 interest on the money they created from nothing.

The total return is 1,166%! Let that sink in. The bulk of the money supply is created by commercial banks as debt.

There is a far better way for government to get money, simply issue without debt, for the benefit of all citizens equally.

The solution isn't new or radical. Politicians have fought over the years with bankers over it. This aspect of history has been removed from most history books. Benjamin Franklin & Abraham Lincoln did it. Americans have fought against the debt money system throughout history. Without the crushing weight of debt based money Britain flourished into the great power on earth for many centuries. Bankers regained control of the money supply in 1694 founding the bank of England.

Governments should never go into debt, governments can issue the money it needs. Government borrowing should be illegal. A transparent and accountable government agency should take charge. Abraham Lincoln said this is governments most sovereign responsibility.
